Chichester win tight match against Fareham

The top division of the Portsmouth and District Chess League continues towards a nail-biting finish with Fareham and Chichester continuing to challenge for the top spot.

Fareham have won one of their adjourned round 6 boards against Cosham but lost a critical match against Chichester. A tight match saw Chichester decisive on boards four, five and six with wins by Lukoshius, Smith and Howeson against Brameld, Marsh and Williams. The top three boards saw Fareham more decisive with Corkett drawing board 1 against Wilson whilst Chapman and Gregory won for Fareham in the their games against A. McDougall and W.McDougall.
