Hampshire Lead the Chiltern Open

Hampshire scored 5.5 points in the latest instalment of the Chiltern Open jamboree, played at Basingstoke on 2nd December 2017, with wins for Bill McDougall, Fraser McLeod, Gareth Jones, Phil Stimpson and Tim Davis. Oxfordshire scored 6.5 points; Berkshire 3 points; Buckinghamshire did not compete.

  1. Hampshire 11½ pts,
  2. Oxfordshire 11 pts,
  3. Berkshire 8½ pts,
  4. Buckinghamshire 4 pts.

The 2017-18 Open team competition is being conducted as a jamboree over ten boards and four rounds. The fixtures are:

    • Sat 07 Oct 2017 round 1, Oxford
    • Sat 02 Dec 2017 round 2, Hampshire
    • Sat 27 Jan 2018 round 3, Berkshire
    • Sat 10 Mar 2018 round 4, Buckinghamshire
