Gloucestershire Junior Chess

Hampshire lost heavily (14-6) to Oxfordshire yesterday (18/02/2017) despite wins from David Fowler on Board 1, Timothy Davis on Board 4 and John Wiseman on Board 10.  The match was played over 20 boards, Hampshire average grade was 141 versus 155 for Oxfordshire. Our next match is Hampshire’s final match of the season and takes place on Saturday 11th March away to Berkshire. Please let Fraser know if you can play.

This result leaves Hampshire in 3rd place with 1 point from three matches whilst Oxfordshire have a commanding lead with 6 points from their three matches.  Hampshire had White on the even numbered boards.
