The Portsmouth & District Chess league reports a healthy AGM has taken place and confirmed league and cup entries for the new season starting soon. The league will feature several teams from the chess clubs of Chichester, Cosham, Emsworth, Fareham, Gosport, Portsmouth and Southampton.

COMPOSITION OF THE LEAGUE, 2017-2018

• Division 1:
  Chichester A, Emsworth A, Fareham A, Portsmouth A, Cosham A, Gosport
• Division 2:
  Chichester B, Emsworth B, Cosham B, Portsmouth B
• Division 3:
  Chichester C, Portsmouth C, Fareham D, Fareham C, Emsworth C, Bye

The Cole Cup draw for games to be played by 15th December 2017, is –

• Southampton v Cosham
• Portsmouth B v Portsmouth A
• Gosport v Chichester
• Emsworth v Fareham
