HCA Website
Use of the Menu Bar
For most users (where their browser has Javascript enabled), if you run the cursor over the menu bar, the selected item will show in a darker colour, and for some menu items a sub-menu list will appear - so either main menu items or sub-menu items may be selected.
For those few users that do not use Javascript enabled browsers, access will only be possible to the top level menu items. But it should still be possible to select that page and navigate using ordinary page-link navigation.
Problems
It's not a practical proposition to test the changes with all possible browsers and types of PC etc. so it's likely that some users may experience problems, in which case, please send details to news@hampshirechess.co.uk with details of the problem.
Sometimes a problem may arise following changes to the website - it may be worth trying refreshing the "cache" on your browser and other caches between yourself and the server. This can be done as follows:
- Firefox - CTRL-F5 or SHIFT-CTRL-R
- Internet Explorer - SHIFT-F5
- Try both of the above for other browsers (or look up more specific instructions)
Future Changes
The recent changes, together with a database capability which is currently not used, will enable us to introduce some interactivity to the website. Stay tuned for future developments!
