Portsmouth League
Division 3 2000/2001 Analysis
When I started to receive the results at the beginning of the season, it looked as if division 3 was going to be the tightest division in the league. This was as everyone won and loss a game in the first couple of rounds and matches were tight. But then Cosham C started to win continuously and ended up a mile ahead of the other teams. This gives Cosham the same problem next year, as this year with two teams in one division, but this time it's division 2, rather than 1.

Cosham
Peter Dallas played strongly and his five wins included two against players graded higher than him. In fact all the graded players played above their grades and everyone scored at least 50% All in all an excellent season for Cosham C.

Emsworth B
Emsworth B just pipped Fareham B to the 2nd spot in division 3. Nobody had a particularly great season, but again nobody scored dreadfully either.

Fareham B
Fareham B manage to give most players in the club competitive games in the season, as can be seen from the table below. Brian Stoppard continues to play well, hopefully he will have a grade next season.

Portsmouth C
Portsmouth defaulted a lot of game in the season and the C team seemed to have a lot of the A and B team players in most matches (or was it the A and B teams had a lot of the C team players). It may be that they are finding it difficult to field 3 teams in the league, so it will be interesting to see what happens next season. Mick Garrod had a good season, as he did for the A and B teams.
