Hampshire Correspondence

The Hampshire Correspondence team is run by Fraser McLeod

Fraser's comments on this season:

Hampshire have completed all their correspondence games for this season, ending with a score of 12 points from the 22 games. This will probably mean we finish in a creditable 5th position in the league behind Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Sussex and Essex. Results, as they stand at present with a few games to be decided, can be seen at: http://www.johnphilpott.freeserve.co.uk/20067crosstables.htm

My thanks to everyone who played and congratulations to the Hampshire winners this season: Simon Downham, Philip Barber, Gillian Moore, Tony Corkett, Steve Le Fevre, Stuart Dean and David Thompson.

Just for fun, I have analysed player performance over the last 12 seasons, creating two tables: one based on points scored and one based on percentage score.

Congratulations to Philip Barber who tops the table of points scored with an impressive 9/12. Arthur Brameld, Tony Corkett, John Wheeler and David Kinsler are hot on his heels, close behind.

Of the currently active players, "new boys" Michael Blake (92%) and Simon Downham (83%) lead the table in terms of percentage scores closely followed by "old boy" (no insult intended!) Arthur Brameld (80%).

The new season will begin in October. As far as I am aware everyone is willing to play again next season, however I am always interested to hear from any new players who would like to join the team.

I will supply Fraser analysis in the next day or so - Graham Stuart
